11:06 as much as I hate the prequels Palpatine and Plagueis were both capable of of similar abilities. I don’t want to say the same ability because that could be wrong but definitely similar. If you remember the story Palpatine told in episode 3, the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise. The whole saving people from dying thing gets told in more depth in legends lore.

No Disney Star Wars movie will ever amount to the OG and prequels. Except for Attack of The Clones. You can tell that’s just a bridge movie until the end. They didn’t care as much.

My mates took me to the cinema at midnight to see this when it was first released I'm not a star wars fan at all and thought this was the worst one yet 😂 although I was really tired when I saw it I wasnt sure if it was because I was tired or just a really shit film 😂 The way you described the silent cinema is so fucking accurate 😂😂

I personally think that none of the Star Wars movies are amazing, some are good for sure, but not amazing which I see many people say (for those who want a number, I see a movie being amazing if I give it an 8/10, none of the Star Wars movies go above 6/10 for me, so bordering on being great. I personally think that if a movie is 1/10, I can't even understand why a person likes it, 2/10 I can see why to a degree, 3/10 is when I can completely understand why a movie is enjoyed, just not for me, 4/10 is a movie which I actually like, but it's still below average, 5/10 is average, 6/10 is good, 7/10 is great, 8/10 is amazing, 9/10 is basically what every movie would need to aim for to be good as that's near perfection with 10/10 being mostly me rating something either due to me absolutely loving the thing, or nostalgia.

They should have gone with Darth Jar Jar instead of resurrected Palpy. Rey should have been an artificial being genetically engineered to be overpowered with the Force. I would make her fall to the dark side temporarily too. Kylo should have remained evil. Finn should have been more like Mayfeld in The Mando.

Prequels were great, except for some cringe worthy lines and acting. These, however, were just devoid of anything meaningful.

I've fallen out on The Force Awakens since first watching it but I appreciate 2 things about it. It did bring Star Wars back in line with how it was in the OT and now The Mandalorian and it set up a bunch of story threads that could be picked up or dropped depending on where the story was going. Then The Last Jedi drops every single one of them and wraps up the trilogy by the end leaving nowhere for Episode IX to go. Did he forget they were making a trilogy? The bad decisions for the next movies all branch off from here. Kathleen Kennedy brings back JJ to right the ship and he does what he does best. Plays it safe by bringing back original characters and riffs on a bunch of ideas from earlier films hoping something sticks. I can't completely blame him because he really had nowhere to go and it was a real dick move for Kathleen Kennedy to bring him back after she'd screwed up Last Jedi by giving Rian Johnson total control. Which brings me back to Solo. That movie needed the guys from Lego Movie to make what could be an incredibly pointless film into something funny or interesting. After the response to Last Jedi I think she probably decided that she should pay closer attention to Solo and couldn't understand what the directors were going for. Which is probably what happened on TLJ so she lost her nerve just before principal photography ended and brought on one of the most bland directors in Hollywood to essentially remake the movie from scratch. Nothing was going to save Solo. It was completely unnecessary but at least the original version would've been somewhat interesting instead of basically giving us the most obvious versions of everything we know about Han Solo. Except for his name. I will never understand why the recruiter for the f#%king Empire was allowed to give him his surname. That was absolutely ridiculous. It kind of makes the title of the film incorrect as well since that's not his name apparently. I mean, if some other guy had been on duty that day his name could've been something else. Of all the things that we didn't need to see it was how he got his name. IT'S HIS NAME!!! It's the one solid thing we know about him and they decided that they had to show us that too. Show us his birth then. F$@k this movie.

The prequels were good. End of story. 1 and 2 were solid 7-8 and revenge of the sith was a 9-9.5. these new ones are complete garbage all three are all lower than 5s.

In my opinion, the new trilogy were all just fine. I don’t love any of them, but I can’t say they deserve the hate they get, although it’s reasonable to feel that way about them.

@grant snider Actually force healing was a thing before the prequal trilogy, KOTOR 1 & 2 allow you to heal yourself using the force. Also in the legends lore it was a very hard ability to learn so it still came out of nowhere and she had no reason to know it.

The prequels were awful, but they were awful in the same way Birdemic was awful, and there were tons of unintentionally hilarious lines that made their way through the internet, like “Hello There” or Anakin hating sand. The Ps1 level CG added to that so bad it’s good factor. The sequel trilogy doesn’t even have that.

Ryan might not be a hack, but he is a absolutely a left wing shill. He's needs to restrain his impulse to shove his political views into the audience's face. It can be a lot more forgivable in his own little indy movies, but in a big star wars movie? Not a great idea to alienate half the audience like that.

well yea, The Mandalorian is really good. especially compared to all the garbage Star-Wars writing Disney has made us used to. But I still completely understand why someone would dislike it, I did find the first season messy considering they had a different director for each episode. The reason IHE brought it up was because they put a lot of effort into puppets and aliens making it look good, even though it isn’t really impressive now that we already know what their artists are capable of. And I agree with that.

Kicking the bajezus out of Johnson was the only part of the movie that I enjoyed....years from now, you'll agree with me that he's just poo.

I feel like there COULD have been a way for the third movie to tie stuff up in a way that doesn't ret-con half of what was already established. Like in other trilogies like Lord of the Rings - Rise of Skywalker narratively is like if Return of the King decided to ret-con Gollum being spared in the first 10 minutes if Wormtongue was revealed to have no effect on Theoden, Gandalf The White ended up being an elaborate Sauron trick, the Ents freeze in place permanently because "walking trees are stupid" and Saruman sent the armies of Orcs to Helm's Deep because he wanted to ask them a question that ultimately meant no malice. I feel like whether you enjoyed The Last Jedi or not just throwing part 2 of a 3 part story under the bus to make it dumber even throwing away some of the good plot points of Last Jedi that could have been explored here is just a bad move no matter what that part 2 is. With the aforementioned good plot points like Kylo descending more and more into an unrestrained id of a character with the power of a member of the Kim family, Rey not being related to anyone meaning greatness can come from nothing just to name 2 of them would be interesting devices to leave a story to. Like the villains of Star Wars previously tried some level of tactics rather than lashing out at everything and just doing that would have made for an interesting half to the dynamic of good vs evil. That and I have problems with the idea that the only reason someone can be such a prodigy at something is that they're related to someone else. Rise of Skywalker just being a mediocre combination of Empire and Return with an Endgame like finale with none of the build-up doesn't help either.

I know you showed lego marvel superheroes footage as a joke, but that's a great game. Thank you for spreading awarness for it. Also, "they fly now" was a joke? I thought it was just a stupid line.
